Jeremy Leutgens
Born & raised in Surf City, Jeremy has been surfing since he was 3 and teaching since 2017. With 20+ years of wave-catching under his belt, he is all about good vibes, building confidence, and sharing the stoke!
Emerson Timbers
Born & raised in Surf City, Emerson knows these waves like the back of his hand. He has been surfing for 5 years now and loves being able to share his passion for the sport through lessons. He is the 2025 ESA Mid-Atlantic Regional Champion and currently holds the title of U18 Champ. He is heading to UNCW this fall and when he’s not surfing, you can find him spearfishing or skateboarding!
Anna Bigham
Born & raised in Surf City, Anna has been surfing for as long as she can remember. She loves sharing her passion through teaching and helping others catch their first wave and find that joy! She is currently a student at UNCW, and when she is not out in the water, you will find her fishing, making art, or at concerts!
Christie Doucette
Christie has been happy to call Surf City home for the past few years and has been surfing for almost 3 years! She is all about making sure everyone has fun during the lessons and learning at their own pace. She is headed to UNC Chapel Hill this fall, working on the pre-med track. When she is not surfing, teaching lessons, or working at Shaka Taco, She will probably be working out or watching movies with her dog. What are you waiting for? Jump on a board with her!
Chris Brothers
Chris Grew up in New York and started vacationing on Topsail Island when he was 7. He moved to the area 12 years ago and started surfing over 15 years ago! He is currently a teacher and a coach at Dixon High School. When he is not surfing, you can find him doing anything outdoors from hunting, fishing, or hiking!
Preston Walker
Born & raised in Surf City, NC, Preston has always loved being in the water and has been surfing for about 15 years. He is currently a junior at UNC Chapel Hill studying Biology and Environmental Justice. When he is not surfing, he likes to read and chill with friends. He also helped start the Surf Club at Chapel Hill this year!
Cameron Hardy
Cam grew up in Virginia and moved to Surf City in 2020, where she bought her first board and fell in love with surfing! She is lucky to love both of her jobs, the other working as an ER nurse. When she is not in the hospital or out on the waves, you can find her anywhere near the water— fishing with her dad or soaking it all in with the people she loves the most.
Fisher Gray
Born & Raised right on Surf City beaches, Fisher has been surfing for 3 years now! He loves to see everyone smiles while taking a lesson and catching waves. He currently attends Topsail High and will graduate in 2028. When he’s not catching waves, he likes to go for runs, bikes, or to the beach. He cannot wait to see you shred!
